Detail Photos

On a wedding day, everything moves fast. Dresses are bustled, florals are repurposed, stationery disappears, and the carefully chosen details you spent months planning are gone in a blink. That’s where detail photos come in.

As a wedding photographer, detail photos are about more than just pretty flat lays! They tell the story of your day . Your invitation, rings, shoes, jewelry, vow books, and heirlooms reflect your personality and the thought you poured into the day. These images help preserve the atmosphere and emotion of your wedding and not just the timeline of events.

Detail photos also play a huge role in how your gallery flows. They create breathing room between emotional moments and help your images feel cohesive and complete. Years from now, when trends have changed your wedding photos bring you right back to how everything felt.

This is why I always encourage couples to gather their details in advance and trust me to photograph them thoughtfully. These moments may seem small, but together, they become the texture of your wedding story the things you didn’t realize you’d miss until you see them again.

What I ask of my Couples:

When I arrive on site, it is SO helpful if I could have a small box of all your items;

  • Rings

  • Ring Boxes

  • Shoes

  • Florals - I can grab these from your Vendor also, but letting them know to set some aside for the photographer is extremely helpful for both of us!

  • Wedding Invite

  • Perfume

  • Jewelry (earrings, necklace)

  • ANY Heirlooms you’d like included, maybe your fathers watch if he passed, your grandmas brooch or lace from your mothers wedding dress, a photo, anything.

I tend to bring little ribbons, a mirror, glass containers for florals to add to your photos but having this all provided when I arrive in a clear box keeps your items protected, together, and helps the day run smoothly for me <3
